Using Beambox alongside your Cambium Networks deployment means you’re no longer just offering WiFi — you’re offering a branded experience that turns connections into customers. Beambox plugs into your Cambium guest network and immediately gives you marketing-ready data, automated workflows, guest login portals tailored to your brand, and SMS/email follow-up sequences. In short: your WiFi becomes a measurable, actionable marketing channel rather than an invisible utility.
The importance of integrating with Cambium lies in its proven network reliability and scalability — but the magic happens when you add Beambox on top. You get seamless onboarding for guests, consistent connectivity (thanks to Cambium), and the marketing engine (thanks to Beambox). This sort of solution is most impactful in sectors where visitors, guests or walk-in traffic matter – think hotels, cafés, restaurants, health & wellness studios, entertainment venues and retail chains. These businesses gain more customer data, better engagement and stronger loyalty by utilising the full stack.
Will Beambox change my Cambium networks?
Nope! You will still manage, configure and overview your Cambium networks as usual through your controller. Beambox only configures your guest policies to connect to our cloud.
How does Beambox authenticate guest devices?
When a guest successfully logs into your WiFi login, Beambox will instantly communicate with your controller and authenticate the guests device, allowing full internet access.
Is Beambox compatible with all controller versions?
Yes, Beambox can integrate with all versions of the Cambium controller. We also proactively test new Cambium controller updates to ensure that customers can update their controller without risk.
What changes will Beambox make to my controller?
Beambox will only configure existing settings within the 'guest policies' section of your controller. It will not change the way in which your controller functions.
Will Beambox configure all sites in my controller?
When connecting your controller for the first time, you will have the choice of which sites you want to activate Beambox on. You can then enable the portal on the wireless networks within that site.
How do I give Beambox access to my controller?
You will need to create a new controller user, specifically for Beambox to use to both configure your controller and manage guest device authentication.
